DeAsia Paige is a freelance music and culture writer whose work has been featured in Pitchfork, NPR Music, Teen Vogue and more. Her writing primarily focuses on the intersection of race, culture and music. She currently covers Black communities in the metro-east for the Belleville News-Democrat. Her debut book “The College Diaries: How a Budding Black Feminist Found Her Voice,” which weaves cultural commentary and personal experiences with the music that became her soundtrack in college, was published in 2020. She’s a firm believer that there is a Real Housewives of Atlanta moment for everything. DeAsia is based in St. Louis, MO.
